Contractor Operators

Hire car and chauffeur contractors engaged by Get Chauffeured operate as independent businesses on a non-exclusive basis and may continue providing services to their own clients and the public. Contractors supply and maintain their own licensed, insured vehicles and cover all associated operating costs, including fuel, tolls, registration/CTP, comprehensive insurance, servicing, cleaning, and maintenance. They are responsible for their own income tax, GST, superannuation, and insurances such as public liability and workers compensation or personal accident cover.

Each booking may be accepted or declined at the contractor’s discretion. There is no guaranteed volume of work, and payment is made per completed booking rather than hourly, daily, or weekly rates. Contractors may delegate a booking to a suitably accredited substitute who holds all required licences and insurances, while retaining responsibility for the service delivered. Get Chauffeured does not direct how services are performed and does not provide uniforms, rosters, or employee-style supervision. Contractors must advise us in writing of any material changes to business details, ABN/GST registration, licensing, or accreditation.

Position: Contractor Hire Car / Chauffeur Operator

Location: Australia-Wide

We are now inviting skilled operators who share our dedication to professionalism, customer service, and safety to join our contractor network.

Independent Business & Non-Exclusivity

Contractors engaged by Get Chauffeured operate as independent businesses. Engagement is non-exclusive, and contractors may provide services to the public generally in addition to performing bookings through Get Chauffeured.

Nothing in this engagement creates, or is intended to create, an employment, partnership, agency, labour hire, or joint venture relationship. We contract the vehicle-and-driver service as a package.

Vehicle, Costs & Responsibilities

Contractors must supply and maintain, at their own expense, a suitably licensed and insured vehicle and are responsible for all associated operating costs, including fuel, tolls, registration, compulsory third-party insurance (CTP), comprehensive insurance, servicing, cleaning, and maintenance.

Contractors are responsible for their own income tax, GST, superannuation, and insurances (including workers compensation or personal accident insurance where applicable, and public liability insurance).

Bookings, Subcontracting & Payment

Each booking offered by Get Chauffeured is an offer which the Contractor may accept or decline at their discretion. There is no obligation to accept a minimum number of bookings and no guarantee is given as to booking volume. There is no penalty for declining a booking.

Contractors may subcontract, assign, or delegate a booking to another suitably qualified and accredited driver or contractor (who is legally compliant and insured). The original Contractor remains responsible for the service delivered.

Contractors are paid per booking completed. Payments are not made on an hourly, daily, weekly, or salary basis and do not constitute wages.

Requirements for Applicants

  • Operate as a registered company (Pty Ltd) with an active ABN/ACN

  • Registered for GST

  • Valid vehicle registration & relevant insurance

  • Certificate of currency for workers compensation or personal accident cover

  • Certificate of currency for public liability insurance

  • Relevant state transport accreditation

As part of our ongoing commitment to a future with safer roads for drivers and their passengers, contractors are encouraged to complete these four short road safety courses provided by towardszero.nsw.gov.au.
